Our History Timeline
1941
Established 1941 by Joseph M. Faris
Wife Cecilia Faris worked alongside her husband as the business was founded and ran it while Joseph was serving our country in WWII
1950s & 1960s
During the 1950s and 1960s the three sons joined the family business as young adults Joe, Jim, and John
Early brands included Rolling Rock of Latrobe and Iron City of Pittsburgh Brewing Company
In the late 60s Canada Dry distribution was acquired from a local bottler
1970s
Purchased the rights to the Royal Crown franchise in the early 70s from a Uniontown, PA bottler
1980s
Acquired Stoney’s in the late 1980s
Jim, John, and Joe take over ownership of the company
2000s
John Faris takes the helm as Jim and Joe retire
2017
Ben Faris joins the company as president
2019
Faris Distributing expands its service territory to include western Maryland
2022
In the Fall of 2022, Faris Distributing expands its service area again to support Somerset County
2023
Faris Distributing unveils the new brand and website
